Nico Hulkenberg is among the best three drivers in F1, according to his Force India team-mate Sergio Pérez.
The German is entering his sixth season but has yet to score a podium as he has driven mid-table cars throughout his career.
However, Mexican star Perez insists that the German is not given enough credit.
"He's been my strongest team-mate I've had in my whole career - a very strong driver,” he told Autosport.
"I definitely would put him among the three best drivers on the grid. I believe if I can be ahead of him, I can be ahead of anyone on the grid."
Perez has flourished since he moved to Force India from McLaren two years ago.
His confidence suffered a mighty blow after an unsuccessful season in a mediocre McLaren alongside Jenson Butto.
But he has rebuilt career alongside Hulkenberg and Force India can proudly claim to have one of the better driver pairings in the sport.
