Lewis Hamilton took the 52nd pole position of his F1 career and the 58th for Mercedes today at the Catalunya circuit in Spain.
His teammate Nico Rosberg got 2nd and Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo got 3rd after a sensational quali.
18 years old Dutch F1 driver Max Verstappen who switched from Toro Rosso to Red Bull since last Russian GP has put up a sensational session. He was able to put immense pressure on Ferrari, Hamilton and Ricciardo throughout the whole session.
Because of this pressure Hamilton and Ricciardo where able to out perform them self for the first time this season. Hamilton was able to beat his rival Rosberg for the first time this weekend and Ricciardo was able to put in a magic lap that was almost a second faster then his time in Q2.
Sensational Max Verstappen was writing history while driving and will get a lot more respect from the paddock for his exceptional performance today. He will start from 4th place on the grid.
