Nico Rosberg has assured the Mercedes team that he and Lewis Hamilton have put their first-lap crash in Spain last weekend behind them.

The duo will face off again in Monaco this weekend and there is not enough space for two cars to run side by side on the twisty streets.

But Rosberg insists the pair have settled the issue and expect to run a clean race in Monte-Carlo and the rest of the season.

“I was gutted after what happened in Spain – for myself, but mostly for the team.

“We’re in this together and I know how hard everybody works to make these amazing cars, so for us to leave them both in the gravel is the worst possible scenario.

“But we’ve talked it through and now it’s time to leave it in the past.”

Rosberg hopes to win in Monaco for the fourth time in a row, and stretch his championship lead to beyond 50 points.
