Report: Perez on Renault radar
Sergio Pérez could be set for a move to Renault next season, with the French team keen on a deal to sign the Mexican according to reports.
Perez has repeatedly stated he could leave Force India this season but the top teams are already set up for 2017 – with Kimi Raikkonen now confirmed at Ferrari.
Renault have suffered a woeful season, but Autosport claims they could attract Perez – who believes his next move is key to him realising his dream of becoming world champion.
Force India boss Vijay Mallya has claimed Perez will stay at the team, but this is known to have frustrated the driver who insists now deal exists.
Renault are expected to be more competitive next season as they seek a better engine, and Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer are fighting for their place.
The duo have flattered to deceive so far and Perez’s impressive displays for Force India have attracted Renault to his services.
