Second practice was even wetter than FP1. Teams didn't go out on the very wet Austin track until it was dry enough for Intermediate tyres. After 45 min of zooming camera's that were filming the spectators waving to home, it was Brandon Hartley who was the first to go out n his Toro Rosso. It was the first time this weekend he drove on the Austin circuit. He skipped FP1, because Sean Gelael was driving his car earlier today.
Lewis Hamilton again showed his skill by driving a lap around COTA over 1 second faster than his rivals. Title rival and Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel was very slow and drove the 10th quickest time.
