Ricciardo expects to 'learn' from Ocon
Daniel Ricciardo says he welcomes the arrival of a new teammate for 2020.
Renault has decided to oust Nico Hulkenberg and replace him with Esteban Ocon, the current Mercedes reserve driver who will remain managed by Toto Wolff next year.
"It's a huge opportunity for me to work with such a big manufacturer that has won titles in the past," Ocon told Canal Plus.
The 22-year-old's 2020 teammate, Ricciardo, said he will welcome Ocon to Renault.
"He is young and hungry, especially after a year without racing," he said of the former Force India driver.
"He's going to be determined and wanting to make up for lost time. I'm sure Esteban is probably better than me in some areas, so it's an opportunity for me to learn and improve."

Don't agree. If it is only down to the car and not the driver then why has Ferreri only won ONE F1race this year- maybe this is because it is done to both!!! Look at Gasly's pre summer break record- really bad- but Albon jumps in the RB and gets 5th from last place start first time!!!
Stop repeating Max and Jo's Verstappen - it's the car thing please - since if it's only down to the car quality and NOT the driver then Lance Stroll would have better drives mist weeks and my cat could also be given an F1 seat and beat him!
RIC is being overpaid and under performing- end of story. They say it's NOT very easy to get up to go to work at 5am when you are sleeping on silk sheets- and since RIC has cracked his overpaid deal with Renualt he has lost his fighting spirit- me thinks.

Pam - I disagree. Danny Ricciardo is being paid to drive a f1 car, and if the car is biz the how can he make it win. i also disagree Danny Riciardo as lost his fighting spirit. regarding Ferrari then even you must beable to see that Ferrari are just out of luck. Vettel i think as lost his zing. and Charles Leclerc was somewhat over eager to win, that he lost the plot, and that's why Ferrari are now realizing that, they will not win the championship this year.
Nope- it is both the driver and the car- this cant be disputed. Look ar Saber and the iceman- he is such a good driver and accumulating loads of points as a result but Gio in the same car only has 1 point!! It is the driving skills - Ric doesn't care as long as his pay check is in the bank!
I think RIC expected a better power unit both in HP and reliability. Renault as a marque have done this before but I imagine all who were involved are retired or getting there now a days.
