Secret photos of F1 legend Michael Schumacher were offered to publications for $1.3 million, according to Britain's Mirror newspaper.

Last December marked six years since the seven time world champion fell whilst skiing with his son Mick in the French alps.

His condition in the wake of serious brain injuries is largely unknown, but neurosurgeon Nicola Acciari says the 51-year-old would look very different.

"We must imagine a person very different from the one we remember on the track, with a very altered and deteriorated organic, muscular and skeletal structure," he told Contro Copertina.

The Mirror claims that someone secretly took photos of Schumacher in bed at his home in Switzerland, and offered them up for $1.3 million.

The German's wife Corinna informed the police, and family lawyers claim the photos are a breach of the former Ferrari driver's "personal range of life".

I hope that not one newspaper or TV station or magazine ever wants to buy them. I also hope they put the authorities onto the person trying to sell them. It's an absolute disgrace! I didn't like Michael as a driver, i though he was extremely arrogant and sell obsessed but he was a brilliant driver none the less and he is a human being who deserves respect, privacy and dignity.
I echo ReallyOldRacer, leave him be and let him and his family alone.

I was never a fan, and agree wuth Andy, but respect the.fact that he is a fellow human being. I'm really interested to know how he is because I hope that he is improving, he has such determination and spirit and support him.and his family wholeheartedly. Please do leave him be, those trying to make a buck off getting photos are inhuman and disgust me. I still look forward to seeing him at a race in the future, enjoying the sport he loved and dedicated his life to. He really did give us some thrilling races...I remember being the only fan of Damon Hill in a sea of Schumacher fans at Spa in 1997 and them offering me cash to take my flag down, as it was spoiling their sea of red...it was all very good natured banter and respectful...he bought a lot to the sport

It is heartbreaking to see someone who was such a brilliant driver and in such fantastic condition to be so badly damaged. He and his family need to be shown common decency and left alone. I pray for the man every night -simply having your health is such a blessing. God bless, Michael.
