Feb.22 - Toto Wolff is warning that Mercedes may be overtaken in 2021.

His counterpart at Red Bull, however - Christian Horner - warns that the reigning champions remain the clear favourites to keep dominating this year.

"They had an incredible car last year and the main features of it will be at the start this year as well," he said.

Wolff, however, thinks the mandatory changes to floor designs for 2021 could actually shake up the pecking order.

"The change to the floor, from which a part has to be cut out basically, is decisive in a technical sense," the Mercedes team boss told Speed Week.

"It has forced a rethink of the entire concept. So we cannot rule out that Red Bull or Aston Martin will come up with a better solution."

This pre-season posturing takes place every year. 2021 results: #1. Mercedes (HAM gets 8 and retires). #2. Red Bull (VER can win some races). #3. Aston-Martin and McLaren fight it out (this will be fun).

I’m not so sure on this order it depends on where the Ferrari engine is at and also how much difference is there between the Renault that was in the McLaren and the new Mercedes engine. If Ferrari can get the engine to work legally then it will throw the cat amongst the pigeons. I suspect that Redbull won’t have it all their way this year. It could make for a very exciting race for 2nd and 3rd. Haas for the wooden spoon I can’t see them beating Williams will be surprised if the Haas drivers get to the end of the year with out conflict.
