F1 bans Rosberg from paddock for not having COVID vaccine
Jun.10 - 2016 world champion Nico Rosberg has been banned from Formula 1 for refusing to take the covid-19 vaccines.
Viewers of Sky Deutschland's F1 coverage in Monaco wondered why the 36-year-old was reporting from his nearby apartment rather than joining his colleagues in the paddock.
His ban, in accordance with the sport's controversial mandatory vaccination policy, is despite the fact that his 2016 title granted him a paddock pass for life.
"I recovered well from the corona disease and therefore have strong antibodies," Rosberg told Sport1. "I also have my antibodies tested regularly.
"Under these circumstances, my doctor advised me that vaccination would make absolutely no sense."

He was in the Monaco paddock earlier on the weekend, but I'm surprised if he truly hasn't got a single dose taken at any point since vaccination began.

Well well well. As I'm clearly no fan of this lucky one hit wonder, I figured he was at least smarter than this. So I'm surprised but couldn't care less. Anti vax dingbats come in all stripes.
Much appreciation for everyone who had the wisdom and the balls(or spine) to get vaccinated and play their part in the collective curbing of the pandemic. 👍

The vaccine doesn’t stop getting Covid, it just lessens the symptoms. If he wears a mask, he is not a spreader. People are who are vaccinated and boosted are still getting Covid. So what is the ban going to do? I’m not anti vax just think his ban is an overreaction.

At this stage of the Covid 19 pandemic, I completely agree that the vaccine will serve no purpose except to partially protect the person who gets the jabs. If we've concluded that an unvaccinated person's Covid 19 is more transmissible than the person who has had the jabs, then asking Nico to stay away is silly. I had my three shots with the last one being a double dose, and two weeks after the last shot, I ended up with a nuisance of an after-effect which is still present five months later. Knowing that I would still get the vaccine but now remain a bit more sympathetic towards those who demur.
