What a dominant performance, perhaps even the drive of the season so far.
A good race, but a bit boring , and i mean that in terms of very close racing, no retirements, no yellow flags, but a good result for the top 3 all round, Maxes car just isnt doing it at the moment and thats fine , so percentage game a good option, best bit was the podium, three young guys all similar ages and stages of career, bodes well for the future, nine to see, sp did a fair job , the cars obviously not a winner at the moment so he did the best he could and didnt bin it importantly , Ferrari , lucky podium or better than we thought?
Yes quite agree shropp, boring, interesting that MV should be called on at 7am for random drug test, apparently he's had a few this year, Lando seemed a bit out of it after the race I wonder if he got tested,,, dirty tricks for the rest of the season do you think.
Apparently the Anti Doping lot , got a tip off from a girl called Hannah Wolff or something like, that Max had been seen with a spliff yesterday evening and that a suspicious smell was wafting out of his motor home roof vent, anyway all came to nothing but the Doc was high as a kite lol, first time ive heard that hes been drug tested a few times though, in the uk theres more people lose there driving licence through having cannabis in system than alcohol i think i read. Germany like Holland has now partially legalized dope smoking possession/public
Lando does sound a bit different since the break, i wonder if hes had the sports psychologist working with him to be a little less self deprecating , either way hes full of confidence who knows...
Ignoring dnfs ,fastest lap and sprint points, Max can finish 2nd in all the remaining races and still win, and thats presuming Lord Norris wins them all , so a good day for the The New Lord, but Rb should remain calm with a 70 point lead at the moment.Imo
Your right, but we do get 4 bumpy streettracks now, so if Red Bull can't improve their curbstone performance, they will be toast...keeping Perez is a huge mistake which will cost them the constructors title and Verstappen even might loose the championship because Perez isn't able to help him and steal away points from Norris
Lewis made a good showing, on and off the track
You are a loyal fan, Ian. Lewis a short time ago thought he had a shot at winning the WDC. Coming in 8th and not getting out of Q2 is not a good showing but I am sure he is grateful for your optimism.
c'mon Susan, he improved on the day, what more can a poor boy do
Retire and let the next generation have a go at it!
Give him some free time to safe the world.
Red Bull have passed their peak, while McLaren, Benz and Ferrari have continued to move forward.
At least Max finished in the position he started, however, Checko went backwards! Definitely passed his best by date! Checko will certainly cost RB the constructor's championship.
Ferrari performed well, with Carlos making up 5 places and Charlie being able to hold off Oscar for a good 3rd place.
Louise and King George were both let down by poor strategy calls from the pit wall.
He's doing better than George though except in clothes, so George would have to go first. We don't want that.
Im not so sure Rb are past there peak, having a quick look back between say 2009 and 2012, and yes statistics -you can make them say what you want if you pick the right ones but nevertheless, the points difference between 1st and 2nd in the wcc was 40-50 points with less races and less points on offer, and interestingly everyone says we dont want another 2023 with Rb winning it by a million points, well the Hamfangirls had better keep quiet then judging by the points difference in 2014.
As well as the McLaren trajectory there's no telling what difference new brooms will make in a number of teams over next season or two.
Talking of trajectories, there's RB at the moment - level, down or up again, we shall see
Sir Lulu's head must be in a right old mess now what with his old team Mc, mclaren back with a winning streak & merc coming back with some good times & he's going to Ferrari. Oh,, what have you done could be his biggest mistake so far.
