New 2014 F1 Circuits
The 2013 F1 season was a tepid affair. Sadly for Formula One betting fans the competitiveness of the sport was ruined due to Red Bull’s technological superiority. In order to liven things up next year sees three more races added to the calendar.
New Jersey 01/06/2014
After much deliberation it looks certain that there will be a New Jersey race. The 3.2km street circuit will see the drivers racing through residential areas of West New York and Weehawken, all set against the New York skyline. With 19 bends this track should provide explosive drama and prove to be one of the more challenging courses of the calendar. F1 champion Sebastian Vettel stated: “You have to have big balls to tackle a course like that.”
Austria 22/06/2014
In July 2013 Red Bull agreed with Bernie Ecclestone to add Austria to the racing calendar, bringing F1 back to the country after a ten-year omission. The 4.326km track is built for speed with its four massive straights and only eight bends. In 2002 the Austrian GP made the headlines as Ferrari ordered race leader Ruben Barrichello to allow team-mate Michael Schumacher past. This track will suit Titan Bet’s 2014 F1 betting favourites Red Bull down to a tee.
Mexico 16/11/2014
Like New Jersey the Mexican GP is provisional and yet to be fully ratified as doubts remain over the quality of the track. The Mexican GP was last raced in 1992 when Nigel Mansell was victorious. With 14 bends this track offers plenty of opportunities for overtaking; as well as having one huge straight, the famous Peraltado corner has been slowed down but it still remains one of the hardest bends in F1.
The 2014 F1 season needs to be revitalised following this disastrous season for the sport, and adding the New Jersey and Mexico courses to the calendar would help do this as they are tracks that are won by drivers’ ability and not constructers’ ability alone.
