Pit and mainstraight Bahrain International Circuit

Event: Bahrain Grand Prix
Track: Bahrain International Circuit

It will not be a surprise that the first practice for the 2014 Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix is driven in dry conditions. All F1 cars used the medium tyres the whole session. A lot of reserve drivers like Dutchman Robin Frijns and Giedo van der Garde were able to make an impression.

Mercedes showed their speed from and topped the timetables from start to finish. The most awkward situation were the 3 medium and 1 soft tyre combination on Fernando Alonso's Ferrari F14T. A few laps later Alonso showed his speed and drove the fastest time until then with a near perfect lap.

At last Lotus could have a decent 1st practice before a Grand Prix this season and drove a lot of lap.
