Championship challenger Nico Rosberg has said that he still believes he can win the world championship on Sunday.
Rosberg trails team-mate Lewis Hamilton by 17 points as they head into this weekend’s finale in Abu Dhabi.
If Hamilton finishes first or second, as he has done for much of the season, then there is nothing Rosberg can do to stop him becoming champion. However, if the Englishman finishes lower down then it could play into his hands.
Rosberg told reporters: “The gap is smaller than before and I absolutely believe I still have the chance to take the title in Abu Dhabi. It won’t be easy but I’ll be full attack – just as I have been all season."

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff is hoping that the reliability issues which have effected both his drivers’ seasons don’t play a part this weekend.
“It is now down to us to ensure that this fascinating year concludes in the right way by giving Lewis and Nico a platform to settle the title purely on the track.”
Sunday’s race starts at 2pm CET time and 1pm GMT.
