Max Chilton’s front wing has sold for £15,000 at an online auction yesterday for Marussia parts.

The wing is one of many items up for sale as the collapsed F1 team hope to sell all of their assets.

Marussia entered administration in October and ceased trading a couple of weeks later. They are now auctioning off most of their belongings in order to pay off their debts.

The 2014 race cars will go on sale in January without their engines, while more stuff will be sold today including merchandise, sections of bodywork and wheels. Other items to have been sold so far include a 2010 steering wheel which fetched £2,200 and Timo Glock's overalls.

Haas F1, who are expecting to compete in 2016, have said they will bid on parts.

Marussia finished ninth in the Constructors Championships, after they scored their first ever points in Monaco, where Jules Bianchi came ninth.

Bianchi suffered life threatening injuries in the Japanese Grand Prix, while the following race in Russia proved to be the teams last.
