Pole sitter Lewis Hamilton has said that his car is in great shape ahead of tomorrow’s Chinese Grand Prix.

The Englishman piped Nico Rosberg to take his third straight pole of the season, while Sebastian Vettel starts third for Ferrari.

Hamilton told reporters: "China is continuing to be generally a good circuit for me. The car is handling fantastically well this weekend, a lot better compared to how it was in Malaysia."

Asked what lessons had been learned after Sepang, the Mercedes driver said: "There's too many to mention but obviously it wasn't the tidiest weekend for us.

"For us on my side of the garage, we've tried to get our full programme in, we've not had any problems this weekend, but we've got a long race tomorrow. It's not over by all means.

Mercedes are hoping to hit back tomorrow after Vettel’s shock win in Malaysia, but Ferrari look dangerous one again on longer runs.
