Mercedes team principle Toto Wolff has told his team that they must be “relentless” in the second half of the campaign.

It remains unlikely that the German team will throw away either the drivers’ or constructors’ championships, but Sebastian Vettel sits just 40 points back in the standings.

F1 returns from its summer break this weekend, and Wolff expects his team to get back to winning ways after a disappointing Hungarian Grand Prix.

He said: "There are still many chances to win or lose and we must be relentless in our push to come out on top.

"There is never a moment you can take your foot off the gas and Hungary proved once again that any slip is an opportunity our rivals will grab with both hands."

Lewis Hamilton leads the world championship, from team-mate Nico Rosberg.
