Report: Toro Rosso close to Ferrari engine deal
Toro Rosso is close to agreeing a deal with Ferrari which will see the multiple champions supply engines to the Red Bull-owned team.
Toro Rosso, like Red Bull, is desperately looking for a new engine supplier after a poor year with Renault.
However, while Ferrari has put Red Bull off a deal by only suggesting 2015 engines for next year, Toro Rosso are more receptive to the idea.
They will run this year’s engine, just like Manor has ran the 2014 Ferrari engine this season.
Red Bull is likely to agree a new deal worth Renault, but AUTOSPORT claims that Toro Rosso will move back to Ferrari.
The pair enjoyed a six-year relationship between 2007 and 2013, which included Sebastian Vettel winning Toro Rosso’s only race to date in 2008.
