The F1-75 was a force to be reckoned with as Scuderia Ferrari's challenger for the 2022 Formula 1 World Championship. It was presented online at the Gestione Sportiva in Maranello, showcasing the 68th car built by the company to compete in motor racing's blue riband category. The Ferrari Style Centre developed a brand new shade of red for the car, and its name reflected the celebration of the company's 75th anniversary this year. The celebratory logo and Italian flag were also featured on the car, a longstanding tradition for Ferrari Formula 1 cars.
The F1-75's new look was a result of the Maranello engineers' innovative and unconventional approach to the new technical regulations that came into force in 2022. The lower nose and bodywork received particular attention to ensure the best possible aerodynamic performance. The engineers also had to consider the packaging of the PU and its ancillary parts. Ground effect made a comeback after a forty-year absence, and the Pirelli tyres increased in size to 18 inches.
Last year's pairing of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz was once again entrusted with driving duties, while Antonio Giovinazzi and Mick Schumacher served as reserve drivers. Robert Shwartzman took on the role of test driver and participated in two Friday free practice sessions during the season.
The F1-75 was an impressive car that lived up to its predecessors' legacy, showcasing Ferrari's commitment to excellence and innovation. Its striking new look and attention to detail made it a fan favorite and a formidable competitor on the track.
