Sebastian Vettel completed a perfect two days of testing for Ferrari with over 100 laps and the fastest time on day two in Barcelona.
The German will be replaced by Kimi Raikkonen for the final two days of the test and he held off Daniel Ricciardo by 0.7s in Barcelona.
Eight teams managed over 100 laps, showing impressive reliability, including McLaren’s Fernando Alonso.
However, he was ninth quickest and more than three seconds off the pace.
Sergio Pérez was third fastest for Force India, ahead of Nico Rosberg – who completed an astounding 172 laps.
The Mercedes once again looks the class of the field, and it is already apparent that they will be tough to stop in the opening race in Australia.
Vettel will fancy his chances, but the Ferrari remains a clear second best ahead of Williams and Force India.
Jolyon Palmer had another difficult day in the Renault, as he completed just 41 laps after turbo problem ruined his afternoon.
