Abu Dhabi Young Drivers F1 test day 3

This week’s young driver test in Abu Dhabi drew to a close on Thursday, with 2012 GP2 champion setting the fastest lap for Lotus around the Yas Marina Circuit. Valsecchi finished less than two-tenths up on the McLaren of Kevin Magnussen.
Valsecchi focussed on aerodynamic work and double-DRS iterations on the E20 in the morning, before switching to front drum testing and a tyre assessment programme in the afternoon, which allowed him to sample the various Pirelli compounds.
