Alonso 'giving everything' for Malaysia return
McLaren on Tuesday confirmed that Fernando Alonso is on course to return in Malaysia.
The Spanish driver is being replaced by Kevin Magnussen in Melbourne this weekend after his mysterious Barcelona testing crash.
In a race preview provided by the British team, Alonso was quoted as saying while he is "disappointed" to not be in Australia, he "understands" the recommendations of the doctors to rest for now.
"I would like to thank everybody for their kind wishes and support and I'll be giving everything to be back in the cockpit for Malaysia," he added.
Malaysia will host the second round of the 2015 world championship on 29 March.
