Williams driver Valtteri Bottas warned his team that they risk throwing away more points if they continue to make errors this season.
Bottas was set for a top-five finish in the Belgian Grand Prix, before a tyre mix-up at his first pit stop cost him dearly.
The Finn was due to switch from medium to soft tyres, but his pit-crew put on a medium tyre on the right rear, which resulted in him finishing ninth.
He told reporters: "We can't afford mistakes like this. It is another weekend which we need to learn from and we need to make sure we don't do this kind of mistake again.
"We definitely didn't get 100 per cent out of the weekend. We just didn't have the pace to challenge the guys in front. But we should have got more points than what we did."
Bottas will be expected to compete for a podium at the Italian Grand Prix next week.
