Jenson Button has urged Bernie Ecclestone to reconsider the 2016 calendar and scrap plans for three back-to-back-to-back races.
With the calendar stretched to a record 21 races next year, Ecclestone had planned to run races in Singapore, Japan and Malaysia in three successive weekends.
Button is adamant that this shouldn’t happen as it would create a logistical nightmare for the teams.
He said: "It's easy for drivers, but it's very different for the teams. These guys spend so much time away from home, and it's very difficult not only for their relationships, but also their families.
"With all the travel, the packing up and unpacking for those races it would be very tough. With three back-to-back races, personally, I feel it is too much for Formula 1."
The 2016 season will start later than usual and finish inside December. Malaysia and Russia are among the races which have had their usual dates changed.
