Channel 4 reveals race schedule
British broadcaster Channel 4 will not show the opening race of the 2016 season, as they revealed their selection of 10 live races this year.
Channel 4, which took over from the BBC as the secondary British broadcaster in F1 alongside Sky Sports, will show 10 races live and extended highlights from the other 11.
The British Grand Prix in June will be shown live on the channel, along with classic races at Belgium and Italy.
However, they have opted against three of the first four races and have chosen to focus on key battles at the end of the campaign.
David Coulthard has already been announced as part of the production team.
Coulthard switches from the BBC, who had been expected to continue their coverage this season.
However, they decided to cut their contract two years early, continuing their recent trend of cutting back in sport events.
