After months of speculation Scuderia Ferrari confirmed today, that the 2018 rookie driver Charles Leclerc will drive alongside Sebastian Vettel next 2019 F1 season.

The 20 year old driver Charles Leclerc impressed a lot of people and showed good pace this season at Sauber. He hasn't scored a podium yet and his best finish was 6th in Azerbaijan.

Whether or not he will be ready to perform under pressure in a top team as Ferrari alongside Vettel is a very interesting question.

All eyes will be on the then 21 year old driver from Monaco next season. We will also see how his performance compares to this year drivers title contender Vettel.

Earlier today Sauber announced that Kimi Raikkonen will drive for 2 seasons at Sauber. The Sauber F1 team was also the team were his F1 career started back in 2001.

There are still 9 seats left for the 2019 F1 season. You can see which are left on our 2019 F1 teams page.

I see, you have it all figured out: Ferrari took Leclerc to make sure to secures champion title by about 12th race of next season. And Vettel is there to sabotage that. Are you serious? Why would other teams invest in teenage drivers but Ferrari would not groom a 21 year old driver? I guess you'll reply: they've never done it before. True, but there is always first time. All women are virgins until they make love for the first time.
