Engineering director, Pat Fry, has confirmed that Ferrari has switched its attention to the 2015 season, after a disastrous 2014.

Ferrari’s miserable campaign has been one of the biggest stories of 2014, a year in which they were supposed to re-assert their dominance in the first season of dramatic rule changes.

However, it has been one of the worst seasons in years which has resulted in the resignation of team principle Stefano Domenicali and President, Luca Di Montezemelo.

In the Italian Grand Prix, they fell to fourth in the Constrictors Championship, behind Williams.

Fernando Alonso has scored just two podiums this year, but is expected to remain with the team and give them one last chance to build him a championship contending car in 2015.

Fry said: “At this stage of the season, the focus in the factory is shifting more towards next year’s car.”

“However, there is still quite a lot we can learn from track testing, therefore we will be bringing some specific test components for next year and other developments for the F14 T, which will help our understanding for next year.”

Next year will see the first Ferrari car designed by James Allison, who joined from Lotus a year ago. Much is expected from Allison, and there is a lot of pressure for him to succeed.
