Apr.9 - F1's governing body spent three hours disassembling Valtteri Bottas' new Mercedes car after the Bahrain season opener.

Just prior to the opening race of 2021, we reported that the FIA had decided to randomly seize one full car after every race weekend this year for "disassembly" and "deeper checks".

"The FIA wants to make it even harder for cheats," said Auto Motor und Sport correspondent Michael Schmidt.

He said the first disassembled car, decided randomly on the last lap of the Bahrain GP, was Bottas' Mercedes.

"The third-placed Silver Arrow was put to the test by the technical experts for three hours," said Schmidt.

FIA technical boss Nikolas Tombazis explained: "We wanted to do this so that all doubts are removed. This also benefits the teams because it eliminates suspicion."

And what did they find? A 2nd turbo? A few extra batteries? Aston,Martin brake ducts? Geoorge Russel's shoe? A hidden DAS? Rocket fuel? ;)

Wow... they've decided to check MB after 8 years, but they were very quick to check Ferrari as soon as they started winning in 2019 and changed the regulations when they found new technology that didn't breach any regulation. The Bottas car checking is just a "pretend" audit. The result:"nothing here to see" I wonder why they didn't choose LHs car to check?

After 3 hours of disassembly, thorough checking and scrutiny, still no one could find any mechanical reason why Bottas was that far behind the lead car.

Mate, Ferrari never cheated, their technology was just miles ahead of the rest and MB-FIA colluded to take away the advantage and baby Lewis was already running out of tears after been beaten by Leclerc and left to bit the dust.
