FIA to reform driver penalty system - report
Jul.12 (GMM) F1's governing body is looking to reform its current system of driver penalties, according to Germany's Auto Motor und Sport.
The report said the FIA has acknowledged that, for example, minor infractions on the track could often be penalised more appropriately.
One example is a driver infraction leading to a drive-through penalty, where perhaps a less-harsh five-second laptime delay might be a better option for the stewards to impose.
