Force India has confirmed that they will move all of their aerodynamic testing to Toyota’s wind tunnel in Cologne for 2015 and beyond.

The team had been using their own wind tunnel in Brackley, near their base at Silverstone, but they believe that moving to Germany will help them progress up the grid.

Team boss Vijay Mallya said: “The decision to use Toyota’s facility in Cologne is indicative of our ambitions to continue as a competitive force in Formula 1.

“It’s one of the most significant decisions in our history and gives us access to what is regarded as one of the finest wind tunnels in the world.

“It will strengthen our approach and gives us a solid base to build upon for the years to come.”

Force India finished sixth in the Constructors Standings after fading away in the second half of the season.
