Haas driver Romain Grosjean has refuted claims that he has joined the American team in a bid to force through a future move to Ferrari.
The Frenchman will drive for the new team next season and will be powered by a Ferrari engine.
However, the ex-Lotus driver, who has been linked with the Italian team in the past, has poured cold water on any rumours.
"The best I can do is to do my best and do my job. I didn't go to Haas to go to Ferrari. That is not the point,” he told Motorsport.com.
"I went to Haas because I like the project. I think it can be successful. It is an American team so there is a big market that will be nice for F1.
"Of course the dream is [always] to go to Ferrari. Ferrari wants good drivers, and if you be the best you can be, then you have a chance."
Ferrari are expected to part company with Kimi Raikkonen after the 2016 campaign and find a more consistent team-mate for Sebastian Vettel.
Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen are among the favourites, but Grosjean is expected to be considered too.
