May 5 - Lewis Hamilton likened Florida to Saudi Arabia as he touched down for this weekend's grand prix in Miami.

When asked about recent Florida legislation aimed to minimise children's exposure to transgender education in particular, the seven time world champion said: "It's not good at all.

"I support the community here," the Mercedes driver is quoted by La Presse.

"I hope they will continue to fight. I will have the rainbow on my helmet. It's no different from when we were in Saudi Arabia."

Some, including Hamilton, questioned whether Formula 1 should travel to Saudi Arabia for similar political reasons, but he stopped short of saying the sport he represents should boycott Miami.

"It's not for me to decide," said the 38-year-old Briton.

"I have heard and read some of the decisions made here - I don't agree with them and I don't support them. It's not the people of Miami who make these decisions, it's the government people."

Nobody cares a tinker's cuss about Hamilton's political likes and dislikes. I don't even care what he has to say about F1.
Unknown to him, he is an irrelevance unless he's sitting in a car.

Good man, Lewis! Florida actually does grow bananas, making it a Banana Republic. As such, Florida Governor Ron de Santis' new rules and laws, too often following Hitler's example, are an abomination for a country professing to be a democratic example for the world.

Why are the LGBTQ2SGBQMTSB folks all shitty about not being able to influence 8 - 11 year olds into thinking being one of them is a good idea? And how does leaving them on the vine to ripen in their own time deprive them or hurt them? It is a tiny minority of society punching WAY above their weight, because we're now supposed to be so inclusive, and don't dare say "No, that isn't how it's done here" at the risk of being labeled - YAWN - a bigot or homophobe. Dame Lucille is welcome to her opinion's - as are we all BTW - but given her celebrity status, I question the need for a political discussion in any sport. It has damn near ruined Formula 1. So, the left-wingers here will scoff and deride me, but in your lack of "inclusivity" is seen the hypocrisy of your ideology. So have at 'er Gyrlz!
