Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg has said that he believes his side can have a strong 2015 and continue to improve after their best ever year last season.
The team finished sixth in the constructors‘ championship but lost out to McLaren in fifth after a close fight at the end of the season.
However, Hulkenberg and his team-mate, Sergio Pérez, helped compile Force India’s highest ever points total since their arrival in the sport in 2008.
Hulkenberg told AUTOSPORT: “I hope we can improve, get a little better and make another step in the right direction.
“We slipped behind a little bit in the second half of the season, so we need to have a very good and efficient winter to start with a good car again.
“Then the aim and the target is for us to be as good and consistent as we were as the beginning of the 2014 season.”
Force India’s rise has been impressive and they have shown improvement in all but one of their seven seasons so far, and the German racer says that he can see a big improvement after first driving for the team in 2011.
“There is progression, but people can’t look behind the scenes at Force India so maybe it’s hard to see if you just look at the results.
“Me having been here for the first time in 2011, and having left and come back, I can see big changes.”
Hulkenberg will be racing for the same team for two straight seasons for the first time in his career.
