Hulkenberg to stay with Force India next year
Nico Hulkenberg has confirmed that he will remain with Force India for the 2015 season.
The German has long been linked with teams such as McLaren and Ferrari, but with no other offers in the pipeline he has been forced to stay with his current team.
Hulkenberg had a very strong start to the season, and sits eighth in the drivers’ standings ahead of his team-mate, Sergio Pérez.
Hulkenberg said: “We’ve enjoyed a great year with some special results. The team has big ambitions and I believe we have a competitive package once again next year.”
This is the first time that Hulkenberg will race for the same team two years in a row.
In 2010 he raced for Williams before losing his seat to Pastor Maldonado in 2011.
He raced for Force India in 2012, before joining Sauber last year.
