Yesterday, for the first time, Charles Leclerc sat in the Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow car that he will drive during the 2019 season. This morning, the Monegasque driver had a fitting to finalise the shape of the made-to-measure seat of his Formula 1 car.

In the factory. While he was at the Gestione Sportiva, Charles took the opportunity to meet Director and Team Principal, Mattia Binotto and say hello to the rest of the team, with whom he will work for the first time at the forthcoming Barcelona test from 18 to 21 February. Leclerc will be the first driver from Monaco to race in Formula 1 for Scuderia Ferrari.

Unveiling. In fact, it’s not long now, just over a week, before the new car is launched. The event takes place at Maranello, on Friday 15 February at 10:45 and the launch will be live streamed on the Ferrari website. The unveiling can also be watched on the Scuderia’s social media channels.

I am really fond of young Leclerc and I wish him a great career with Ferrari and I am sure he will be the one to watch this year and as long as he is given a brilliant car and support he might surprise all of us with immediate results as he has all the qualities of the top racer. I still hope that Vettel will fight for the title but there are more possible runners than last season. It looks as we r heading for an exciting F1time and Hamilton should be worried about his prospects of getting his 6th title this year. Surely Mercs cannot continue their supremacy and I trust the other teams will progress so they become serious challengers and and fans can enjoy an unpredictable season. It is now or never for Ferrari so please present us with an amazing car and we want to see u reborn and racing as a true thoroughbred.
