Manor Marussia president Graeme Lowdon has praised Will Stevens for his performances so far this season.
The team have sat firmly at the back in the opening five races and have showed no signs of improvement.
However, Stevens has trounced his team-mate, Roberto Merhi, so far and Lowdon believes that he hasn’t put a foot wrong all year.
He told reporters: "I have to say Will is doing a really good job - and I am not just saying that because he is in our team.
"You can’t see it on the timesheets because we are limited by how fast we can go at the moment, but he has hardly put a foot wrong.
“In fact, I was talking to a journalist in Barcelona who commented that he couldn’t see a single mistake all season so far, until he had that thought and Will ran a little bit wide.
"That is the only foot wrong so far - and that was in free practice I should add. He is doing a great job and it is up to us in the team to keep pushing and make sure we are closing the gap so that the drivers can then be tested against everyone else in a racing situation."
