Red Bull will struggle to compete at the top during this weekend’s European Grand Prix in Azerbaijan, according to team advisor Helmut Marko.

The Austrian team are renowned for having a super-efficient car through aerodynamic corners, but struggle when it comes to raw power.

The race, which will be the first in Baku, comes hot off the back of a race in Canada – where Red Bull struggled to compete with Mercedes and Ferrari.

And Marko expects more of the same on Sunday.

"The extremely long straight will not benefit us,” he said.

"Our computer simulations showed we will lose 1.2s per lap there.

"This is almost impossible to make up in the corners, though we have an outstanding car."
