Feb.23 - It is "great" that Red Bull is raking in the millions as a result of Max Verstappen winning the 2021 world championship.

The energy drink owned team has signed two major sponsorship deals ahead of the 2022 season - with cloud computing company Oracle and Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange Bybit.

Forbes claims the Bybit deal is worth $150 million over three years, while the Associated Press said the Oracle title sponsorship is costing the company half a billion US dollars over five years.

"It's great that such huge companies are joining Formula 1," said McLaren supremo Zak Brown.

"I can't say if those dollar amounts are accurate, but it's fantastic for the sport to bring in so much money."

He says McLaren has also been busily scooping up new commercial deals, as Formula 1 has become a "very attractive place" for companies more recently.

Brown cited the success of the Netflix series Drive to Survive, the close 2021 title battle and the radical new regulations for 2022.

"We've been noticing the success of the sport for a while now," he said.

"These are all huge companies, the biggest in the world. It's great to work with organisations like that.

"All ten teams are financially very healthy or owned by people that can afford Formula 1 teams. Even if they're not making money, they can afford them.

"I just think that if you look at all the data points, everything is super strong and only getting stronger," said the American.

Totally agree, worth watch ron dennis 1hr long interview, he talks about getting the biggest and best sponsors for mcl, back in the day and at end of the yr they was always a surplus of $$, just a shame Mcl is now again just a cashcow for the venture capitalists, seemed sorta ok when Ron was milking the sponsors imo

Yeah, I think the difference is that Ron made papaya a business but was still a racer at heart. The current tribe are mostly just money guys.

Just rea about sir Lulu complaining about biased stewards who are very good friends with some drivers and now wants fia to call in non biased stewards,, if he is insinuating that stewards are in some way siding with drivers then let him name them and help clean up the sport, or is this just another sir Lulu moan.

The problem with Lewis is that he wants to be politically correct, while the random F1 fan wants to be distracted from political games.
Sport is a distraction for us all, and we don’t want to be told how woke we have to be.

Lewis created diversion without willing to do so.
Latifi needs bodyguards because of death threats from angry Lewis fans.
That's not what we want. We want exciting racing and fights on track.

I know I agree with you just that I find him so annoying, he just doesn't stop moaning if it's not one thing it's another, other drivers don't hug the limelight all the time. He's a seven times world champion just be quiet and act like it, get a life.
