On Tuesday 14th June, Lewis Hamilton was offered a golden opportunity to follow in the footsteps of giants -- and the chance was too irresistible to pass up.

With the assistance of Mobil 1, Lewis not only blasted his Vodafone McLaren Mercedes around the Glen, but also sampled two-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart's Stewart Haas Racing Chevrolet Impala -- the first time a NASCAR stock car had ever driven the Glen's notorious grand prix circuit.

Despite a persistent cloak of misty fog, both men thrived behind the wheel of their counterpart's machinery. In less than half a lap, Lewis was quickly power-sliding the NASCAR out of the corners and revving the growling V8 to it limit as his confidence steadily increased.

Here Lewis Hamilton fires up his MP4-23 before taking it out for a couple of laps ahead of Tony taking his turn in the driving seat.

Turn it up loud!!
