Norris got mugged last weekend after football final
Jul.15 - McLaren's star driver is "traumatised" after an incident that followed the European championship football final at London's Wembley stadium on Sunday.
In the chaotic aftermath of England's loss to Italy, 21-year-old Lando Norris was mugged as he returned to his McLaren sports car, and left "shaken" after his expensive watch was torn from his wrist.
"Thankfully, Lando was unharmed", part of a McLaren statement read.
In his own statement, the British driver said he was "doing well" and "trying to make sure I'm ready and in the right zone" for his home race at Silverstone this weekend.
McLaren CEO Zak Brown broke his silence on the incident on Wednesday.
"I have spoken with Lando about it a lot," he said.
"I was mugged three times in Los Angeles when I was younger, so I shared my story. The reality is that there are bad people in the world.
"He's a bit traumatised but he'll be just fine," Brown added.
Brown also blasted the organisation surrounding the football final, which he thinks is the reason for the widespread chaotic scenes.
"That needs to be fixed as you shouldn't ever feel in danger at a big sporting event. You'd never see that in Formula 1," he said.

This sounds like something that happens in the US after a nasty football loss, not in England. Guess there are thugs everywhere. Lesson...don't take a high $$$ car or jewelry to a 'sporting' event. Now get in there Lando and make ill Zak proud.
Don't forget this is a football match , tribal warfare.....
It shouldn't happen but football makes more trouble than all the other sports put together from what I read in the press.. Shame but look at Brazil where Button and team were held up in the que to get to the hotel a few (?) years ago....
Their will always be chances
Actually, the US fans tend to run amok with more violence after a championship win, particularly (but not exclusively) the denizens of Philadelphia (ironic in light of the city's name). But yes, wearing an expensive watch to a UK football match (much less driving and publicly parking a friggin' McLaren) shows that while his F1 knowledge is developing nicely, his common sense and general adult maturity is still catching up.
A hot driver but yeah , bit of immaturity still definitely, hes no Nigel M , ,in terms of upper body strength , Nige would have mugged them off just using his moustache, im surprised too they didnt take his car aswell tbh, hes 21 , that says it all... a mclaren supercar, , zak or his manager should take some portion blame in this, just my personal opinion
Couldnt agree more and the fact the SS is in the news and Landos public profile, NOT to mention the place, it was in the carpark and Landa was just about to get in his 300K Mclaren road car, not saying he shouldnt drive one , its a company car BUT , look a superstar, wear a feckin expensive watch, drive a supercar and park in a public car carpark .... mmmm, Lewis would have been ok , hes done Karate.. , plus hed have had 4 security guys ...
One interesting thought , as London is CCTV capital of the world , I'm surprised there's no footage of the crims or the act itself ..!!
We might have lots of CCTV cameras but Lots and Lots are never looked at....
You tell me why..........
Its Bojos fault, the Fia tendered to monitor the CCTV and Boris gave them the contract, this is where the inconsistencies started .....
Maybe they had face nappies on
And there you go, last minute but you had to do a LH comment. Do you lose sleep over LH ever night or just before race weekends
I know, i do try f1 i really do try and not talk about LH but the facts here are , i wasn't insulting , he has done karate and he would have had security, so whats your point?

Warning, the below post contains a minimum of 5% sarcasm,(oh and may contain nuts) best cover all bases .
Geez, could understand if i said Lewis does a great impression of Mr T from the A Team with all his " We buy any gold.kom" hanging from his neck, but i was actually compliments his martial art skills and security team, oh well no pleasing some people, as BA Baracus would have said "pity the fool, pity the fool"
Actually, Shrop', the haters would prefer that you complimented the bold statement that Sir Lewis made wearing his jammies to an interview. The Mr. T ref is vintage you.
if you'd prefer it, i can stop being nice about Lewis ?
England and football hooligans go hand in hand. Seriously what tosser goes to a football game flashing his wealth for all the animals to see. Norris needs to learn that if your going to flash your wealth around maybe save it for Monaco not do it somewhere that is going to look like a pub at closing time on St Patrick’s day.
Spy , as in many countries not just the uk..!! but the rest of your post i agree with
I have heard the Chinese Football fans are very well behaved though.
Why is it that as the owner of nice things, it is my responsibility to not wear or use them so as not to cause bad people to want to steal them. I don't see anyone calling for the arrest and jailing of the scum that believes they have the right to take someone else's property.
to me is the odd thing too, but my guess is LN just want to forget about the whole thing and concentrate on f1, right or wrong approach , well , not for us to say really, also the embarrassment if it turns out he posted his upcoming appearance at Wembley on Social Media and the fact the watch wasn't insured im just imagining possible scenarios, i remember selling insurance years ago in a rough part of the tow where im from and my boss saying ,now you'll need a car, go buy yourself something reliable , nothing to flash ... he knew the score lol .
Jail them well can do yes but at a cost of £900 p/w to the tax payer..., hence why a lot of crimes are punished in other ways, as a magistrate with 8 yrs experience , trust me punishing crims is frustrating at times
