Sergio Pérez says he is close to signing a new contract with Force India, which will see him remain with the team next year.
The Mexican joined Force India from McLaren last year after a disastrous 2013 season, but he has recaptured some of his old form this campaign.
He said: “Things are getting very close to sorting out the deal with the team, I definitely want to stay for longer and establish myself with the team. In my four years in Formula 1, I’ve probably been moving around too many times.”
“I want to do a second year with the team, that is my target and hopefully everything goes right and we can announce something soon.”

Perez scored a podium finish in Bahrain earlier this year, but sits 29 points behind his team-mate Nico Hulkenberg in the championship.
Perez has lacked the consistency of the German, but has outraced him on several occasions.
It was announced last week that Hulkenberg will also be staying with the team for 2015.
