Kimi Raikkonen has hit out at Max Verstappen after they almost collided spectacularly during the Belgian Grand Prix.

Raikkonen got past Verstappen at the start of the race but the Dutchman dived back up the inside, hitting him and causing enough damage to force them both to pit.

The pair later duelled again, as Raikkonen tried to get past the 18-year-old but the Red Bull driver moved across to defend his line very late – causing Raikkonen to slam on the breaks.

"I'm all up for a fair battle and close racing but when I have to back off and break to not hit him, that is not correct. I was close to a big accident,” he said.

"If I have to break with full speed, I don't have that with any other driver so something is not correct.

"On the first corner I was a bit stuck between two cars."
