F1's two Finnish drivers aren't sure what they will be doing in 2021.

Like many drivers on the grid this year, both Kimi Raikkonen and Valtteri Bottas are only signed up to their current teams for 2020.

"Well, that decision must be made somewhere before then, but I haven't even thought about it," said 40-year-old Alfa Romeo driver Kimi Raikkonen in Abu Dhabi.

He said the new rules for 2021 will not overly influence that decision.

"I don't know how much things will change," the 2007 world champion told the Finnish broadcaster C More. "On paper the changes are big, but it is pointless to start speculating until we see the cars on the track."

Also signed up only for 2020 is Valtteri Bottas, who drives for the top team Mercedes.

"I think it will be interesting for all of us. I don't remember a situation with so many drivers with contracts that are expiring," he said.

"I will be like all the other drivers looking at all the options," Bottas added. "But if I had to decide now, I would stay with this team."

as an American/X amateur motorcycle road racer, six championships, two national championships under my belt, having been glued to the television for all of Ayrton Senna‘s formula 1 races which I have every single one of them recorded. I must say that I have been bored with most of the races ever since The introduction of the electric/gasoline power units. I also find the wider tires giving more grip does not make the racing any better, quite the contrary. I hate that wing that opens for passing Assistance.
The collective Brain trust governing body of formula 1 has managed to regulate excitement out of formula one. I watch every race, hoping to see some drama, but most of the races put me to sleep. thank Christ that ESPN, the broadcaster in the United States has seen fit to allow the sky broadcasters from great Britain to present the races. If not for sky broadcasters and announcers, I wouldn’t even watch Formula One anymore. If it was in the hands of the American Formula One announcers it would be presented and as boring as NASCAR, which the governing body of that series has ruined with over regulation.
you’re always going to have winners and losers, everybody can’t get a trophy in spite of what political correctness wants. Why not let the factories put any engine they want in the car. V 10/V 12/V4/diesel / all electric /. anything goes as long as it’s safe. Can you imagine the giant leaps forward in technology if that were permitted. Allow them to turbo charge, supercharge, nitrous oxide, , allow them to run whatever tires they want, allow them to change engines 10 times a weekend if they want. Allow them to run any displacement. Unleash the hounds
