Kimi Raikkonen completed a positive opening week of the 2016 season for Ferrari by setting the fastest time on the final day of testing in Barcelona.

The Finn completed 80 laps as he beat Red Bull’s Daniil Kvyat by 0.8s, ahead of Force India’s Alfonso Celis and Renault’s Kevin Magnussen.

Raikkonen put on a set of the new ultra-soft tyres just before lunch to set a 1:23.477s.

However, once again, Mercedes will be the happiest team as Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg completed 185 laps between them.

The team ran an updated front wing, and spent the whole day on the medium tyre on their way to seventh and eighth fastest.

Fernando Alonso was one of the few drivers they finished ahead of, as McLaren suffered a miserable day by completing just three laps after a collant leak.

Magnussen eased fears at Renault with an impressive 153 laps, after the team suffered reliability problems on the first two days.

He brought out the first red flag of the morning, Rio Haryanto crashed at turn 5.
