Lewis Hamilton was the fastest driver in free practice two, but the majority of the session was lost to rain as teams geared up for Sunday's race.

Hamilton set a 1:17.192s to beat his Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg by 0.740s

Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen finished third and fourth for Ferrari, ahead of Daniil Kvyat, Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen.

The rain, which was forecast, arrived after approximately 25 minutes of the session and soaked the track.

Drivers and teams opted against heading out in order to nullify the danger of crashing, but the crowd grew restless and started to jeer.

There is no more rain forecast for the weekend, so the teams will be frustrated that they have missed out on vital data-gathering.

Hamilton looks to be the man to beat in qualifying though after he topped both sessions today. Rosberg will surely close the gap, but he has looked uncomfortable around the streets in slippery conditions.

Hamilton has been on pole in four of the first five races this season and will be confident of doing so again.
