Nico Rosberg continued his dominant form with victory in the Brazilian Grand Prix ahead of Lewis Hamilton.

The German maintained a solid gap between himself and his Mercedes team-mate, who rarely got close to posing a real threat.

Sebastian Vettel came third for Ferrari ahead of Kimi Raikkonen, but they will be disappointed that they failed to put Mercedes under more pressure.

Felipe Massa scored points at his home grand prix, but Sauber's Felipe Nasr struggled and fell to 14th.

In an uneventful race, Max Verstappen provided the few moments of class as his bold overtaking technique was on show again in Sao Paolo.

The Dutch teenager pulled off stunning moves on Sergio Pérez and Pastor Maldonado.

However, there were very few opportunities over an overtake at the front, as Rosberg converted his good start in a fine display.

He built a gap of around two seconds out to Hamilton, and maintained it throughout the race as the Englishman struggled on his tyres.

It was another frustrating race for Hamilton, who has no answer to Rosberg at this stage, although he recovered well from fatigue earlier on the week.

Elsewhere, Valtteri Bottas finished fifth ahead of Nico Hulkenberg, Daniil Kvyat, Massa, Romain Grosjean and Verstappen.

The season will now finish in Abu Dhabi in two weeks time.
