Ferrari is making "too many mistakes" in its quest for the world championship, according to 2016 world champion Nico Rosberg.

Championship contender Sebastian Vettel was obviously unhappy after qualifying behind his teammate Kimi Raikkonen at Monza. It is believed he thought the Finn should have been providing rather than receiving the slipstream.

Ferrari's car is now clearly faster than Mercedes', and Rosberg told La Gazzetta dello Sport that the Italian team's progress has been impressive.

"It's true that Ferrari makes a strong impression," said the German. "But the bottom line is all about points, and who is the world championship leader?

"Ferrari makes too many mistakes. But it is true that Mercedes is under pressure."

Entirely true. Occasionally Ferrari get caught off guard and admit to it. There was an occasion when they were running way behind the leading car and they ordered Vettel to pit to "preempt" the leader's pitting. Vettel refused to, and rightly so. They win in spite of themselves and as rosberg points out, correctly, Merzedes is ahead of them.Whatever they gain by producing a winning car, they ruin by mismanaging their excellent drivers.

I agree as today Kimi should have let Seb go through instead helping Hamilton attack Seb and what unfolded afterwards was inevitable as Seb did not have chance to catch up without proper team strategy and back up. Such a shame once again Vettel victory became Hamiltons instead! Wake up Ferrari!
