Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg has said that he couldn’t compete with Lewis Hamilton in today’s Australian Grand Prix.
Hamilton drove a faultless race to win the opening grand prix of the season, and Rosberg has admitted that he was unstoppable.
He said on the podium: “It's a nice feeling to be second because it is an awesome start to the season for Mercedes. The team have given us an absolutely stunning car this year so thank you to the team for that.
"Lewis drove like a world champion today but I was driving to the max every lap and I will be doing my best to give this guy a big run for his money.
"A lot is in the head not just during the whole race but during whole season. To not make a mistake the whole way round while being challenged physically and mentally is demanding."
Rosberg will hope to get his own back in Malaysia in two weeks’ time.
