Selected tyre choices 2018 Belgian F1 GP
In almost 2 weeks time we start the race weekend for the 2018 Belgian F1 GP. For this first race weekend right after the summer break, Pirelli will bring the Medium (white), Soft (yellow) and the Supersoft (red) tyre compounds to choose from.
All 2018 F1 teams have ordered their tyre sets and in the below picture you can see the selected tyres for each driver that will participates in race on the famous and fantastic Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
Interesting to see McLaren has chosen a very different tyre strategy than the rest of the grid. Stoffel Vandoorne and Fernando Alonso only have 4 sets of Supersoft sets, while both Williams drivers chose for 9 sets of the red tyres.
The three teams on the top of the 2018 F1 championship, Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull Racing chose to have more or less the similar amount of sets out of the three different Pirelli tyre compounds.
