Fernando Alonso will be joined by compatriots Carlos Sainz and Roberto Merhi in Thursday’s FIA press conference for the Spanish Grand Prix.

Alonso has flown the flag for Spain almost single-handedly for much of the last decade, but he has been joined by two rookies this season.

Sainz has impressed so far and looks destined to stay in F1 for a while, but Merhi could be set for his last race as his contract only covers the “early rounds” of the season.

Joining them in the press conference will be Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg, who will no doubt have to deal with questions surrounding his disappointing start to the season,

Sauber’s Felipe Nasr and Red Bull’s Daniil Kvyat complete the lineup.
