Gunther Steiner insists top drivers are "still interested" in driving for the small American Haas team .

It has been a particularly difficult fourth season for the team, due to problems with the 2019 Pirelli tyres, Haas' controversial title sponsor, and the drivers. Romain Grosjean looks likely to depart at the end of the season, but boss Steiner says Haas will not have trouble fielding a fully competitive lineup.

"You always meet adversity in racing, but I think people see the hard work we put into finding solutions," Steiner told Ekstra Bladet newspaper. "So people are still interested in driving for us because as a team we are not weak."

It is believed that the likes of Esteban Ocon and Nico Hulkenberg are linked with Grosjean's potentially vacant seat for 2020.

Without mentioning names, Steiner said: "Drivers still come and talk to us. We are not dead. "We have had a number of challenges but we are a team that can grow even though we are going through difficult period. Right now it's just talk, so we have to wait a little longer," he added.

Agree! However, if Kimi was "available" he would have been my first choice for Haas. Haas is so in need of a driver that can give proper feedback and even recommend to the engineers what set-up changes to make. I am not sure if Ricciardo have this "ability". Grosjean have none of this...

Yes, of course, drivers will always look for a ride. Haas is a well-funded team working with a good partner (Ferrari). Despite some success, Haas is still working through setup issues. Grosjean is gone, KMag should stay, Kimi would be great but a long shot. Why is no one is talking about Steiner, the buck stops with him.
